From Greed to Panic?

From Pennsylvania Avenue to Capitol Street to Wall Street, as long as the fictitious money and easy credit flowed like raging waterfalls into their pockets, life couldn't be better. Just ignore all the signs & warnings, they'll go away if we pay them no attention. Well, guess what, the waterfalls have slowed to a trickle, artificial bailing has set in, as well as the panic.
Industry giants have been humbled prostrate, and are continually begging for lifelines at the Congressional doorstep. Our Congress, the Fed & Treasury are borrowing, stealing & spending like there's no tomorrow. Our newly elected President offers flowery rhetoric of change while scaring the masses if we don't follow his plan for America. A plan which only furthers socialism, government control and economic anemia. Let the evidence now show that the future of America is no future. Passing our burdens onto our children & grandchildren is no longer a mild joke, - the joke is now on us...
Alerting beforehand and pointing out the seemingly obvious hasn't stopped the destruction. And while there are no quick fixes, if any, for what we have allowed & done, no one in position of power & authority truly understands or comprehends the REAL root of our woes. Our troubles are NOT a credit or banking crisis, nor a housing bust, nor a economic meltdown, nor an industry crash, nor a social or educational implosion. The REAL root of our nation's ills is a spiritual crisis.
The Christ-lessness & God-lessness which has taken hold across this land over the last 3-plus generations are bearing out their fruit. If you do not, or cannot, recognize and realize the verity of this, then hopelessness and panic are your only recourse.
It will require more than the faithfulness & prayer of the few Bible-believing, Yashua-loving, YHVH- fearing saints in America to persuade Him to right our ship. As He did not spare Sodom & Gomorrah for Lot's sake, He will not spare America from her adultery & wickedness. It would require national repentance from Washington, from Wall St., from industry leaders, from husbands & wives, from children, from false preachers & prophets, from hypocritical church members, from every corner of our land to effect revival for America's future.
As GOD sent Jonah to Nineveh, this is America's only hope:
"And the word of YHVH came to Jonah the second time, saying, Rise up, go to Nineveh, the great city, and cry out to it the proclamation that I am declaring to you. And Jonah rose up and went to Nineveh according to the word of YHVH. And Nineveh was an exceedingly great city of three days' journey. And Jonah began to enter a day's journey into the city. And he cried out and said, In forty days and Nineveh shall be cast down! And the people of Nineveh believed God, and they called a fast and put on sackclothes, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. And the word touched even to the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he took his robe from him and covered himself with sackcloth and sat on the ashes. And he cried and said in Nineveh by the decree of the king and of his great ones, saying, 'Do not let man or beast, herd or flock, taste anything; do not let them feed nor let them drink water. But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. And let them call with strength to God. And let them each one turn from his rebellious sin & wickedness, and from the violence that is in their hands. Who knows? He may turn, and God may have pity and turn away from the glow of His anger, that we do not perish.' And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. And God was compassionate over the evil that He had declared to do to them, and He did not do it." Jonah 3
Yet their repentance did not last. Within a short time, Nineveh went back to her old ways, and YHWH did not stay His hand, Nineveh was destroyed:
"Woe to the bloody city! All of it is a lie, all of plunder; the prey is not withdrawn. The sound of a whip, and the sound of rattling of a wheel, and a galloping horse, and of a bounding chariot. The horseman lifts up both the gleam of the sword and the lightning of the spear, and many are slain, and there are a mass of dead bodies, and no end of corpses; they stumble on their dead bodies, because of the many harlotries of the well favored harlot, the mistress of sorceries who sells nations by her harlotries, and families by her sorceries. Behold, I am against you, declares YHVH of hosts, and I will uncover your skirts over your face, and I will cause the nations to see your nakedness, and the kingdoms your shame. And I will cast filth on you and will disgrace you. And I will set you as a spectacle. And it shall be that all those who look on you shall flee from you and shall say, Nineveh is laid waste; who shall weep for her? From where shall I seek comforters for you?" Nahum 3:1-7
Is America any different...?
